I’ve seen a lot of floods both here and in Texas but I can’t say I’ve ever seen cars flooded up to their roofs like I did yesterday at the corner of 140th and 24th in Bellevue. As I drove through three foot high water I was really glad for the second time this week to have a big ol’ 4-wheel drive SUV (first was driving home from school on Saturday and not getting stuck in the snow). A big difference between northwest floods and Texas floods is that in Texas it floods because the land is hard and dry but here it’s just already too saturated which makes mudslides.
